Question Wii dance matt not working! Please help

    Hi there
Grabbed a dance matt from Ebay at xmas and just tried it.
    Can't get it to work.
It has no instructions with it.
The end has a gamecube connection on it.
Do i have to plug it into a specific gamecube controller port or do i have to enable the ports via any wii settings as this mat should be compatible with any game.
My wii has the usual gamma 7 usbloader gx/homebrew settings etc.
    Many thanks

Gamecube controllers, and therefore mats too, are not compatible with every game. Never used a mat myself but I'd imagine, like almost everything else, proprietary mats would be needed for some games to boost revunue for the game makers.

Try moving your cursor with the mat once you've loaded HBC, as that supports GC controller, as does Priiloader.

Of course you may have bought a dud, eBay isn't the most reliable of sources, especially if it came from China or something.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

try the first gamecube port on the top of the wii if your wii is on the vertical position.

Have used all four ports during the game, none of which work. I found out though, if i continue to step on the arrow buttons while plugging the mat in. It will continously scroll in the game menu but im unable to stop it or use anyother buttons.

The mat works fine in the hbc menu. So im thinking i need to hack something? Ive loaded the game through usbloader and wiiflow. Neither work

have you tried using other mats?
It's either you have a defective mat
or the game that you're using it with is not compatible with the one you have.
what game are you trying to play?

I actually just bought a dance mat yesterday for the wife from Gamestop (Gamestop own brand $19.99), all DDR games and Walk It Out work perfectly with it through USB Loader GX with no additional hacks or settings. Plugged into port closest to the front of the Wii.
