Can I accept the Data-sharing on Nintendo Channel?

I have soft-modded my Wii using the guide here, what I wanna know is this - is it safe to accept the data-sharing thing on the Nintendo Channel, to allow me to download Nintendo DS demos? It says to share anonymous data between me and Nintendo of what Channels I use, games I play etc.

I don't think I want them seeing the channels I use obviously lol so is it safe to accept this or not?

    Sounds pretty hokey to me.

It's a requirement I have to accept if I wanna download DS demos. I don't really need it to be honest as I have a Cyclo, but it is just out of curiosity..

I didn't know it was possible to download DS demos as well, but I do remember declining that request. I figure the console will send them the same info that gets posted to my calendar every time I play, including time spent in HBC, Wiiflow, emulators, etc. And that's just not info I want N to have.
