    An easier way?

This may be silly but, is there an easier way? Back when PS2 was the hype the used to have a disc that you insertd and it started some function and then you put the backup copy of the game in and it would play...No install and altering the OS, the mod?disc just forced it to read the backup copy.

Is this not available/possible with the wii?

I don't think we would have all these softmod guides and ppl looking for advice on how to do it if it were that easy.

No. Getting a mod chip would simplify things, but you'd still have have to install it.

i think the softmod is alot easier than the ps2 boot discs. just softmod your wii and use a usb loader. its so much faster and then you dont have to have burnt games lying around. this forum is great and it tells you exactly how to softmod i really dont see how anyone can brick there wii if they follow the directions correctly.
