    Wii Fit Plus Update?

    Hello All,

1st off I am new here and want to say thanks to all members here for the great post and tutorials. They helped me alot. Now My question.

    I have a softmodded wii Ver 4.2u with bootmii/boot2 and ios53, 55, 38, 222, 223 installed.

i am using cfg usb loader ver 49 and wii fit plus is on there and runs fine through the usb hd.

However when i go to load the original game from the disk channel it ask for an update. Now i have read several post here explaining about priiloader and how to have it skip disk updates. I am curious to know if i do the update from the disk will it brick my wii.

I need to use the disk so i can get the wii fit plus channel to work correctly because when i go to install it from the usb harddrive it just resets the wii and no channel installed. And yes I have looked for a wad file so that i can install the channel directly but havent found one that works.

If someone here can let me know if its ok to update from the disk it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a strong feeling that updating from the disc will brick/mess up your Wii. You should install Priiloader first and that should block all updates.

My Wii is 4.1u but I think you'll have to install patched IOS60, even on a 4.2 system menu, before you install Priiloader.

For 4.2 you will need to install the ios70-patched before priiloader, but it is in the guides.

i know if i put priiloader i can stop the updates to the disk channel but whatexactly is it updating because i already have version 4.2u... I read a post from a moderator here named TEALC and he was telling someone else that it was ok to just have it update because it is ver 3.4 on the disk and and the guy had 4.2 already so it would not mess it up how true is this?

It might be possible to just do the disk update, but you will never hear me recommend it. If it truely needed to update anything it would be an ios file and you can manually install it using the guide "what ios files games use to run".
