Sooo... From what I gather, your problem is either this:

You were on 4.2U, you decided to downgrade to 3.2 regardless of the abundant warnings not to then accidentally downgraded to 3.2E instead of 3.2U?

    OR this:

You were on some system menu greater than 3.2 (3.4 preferably as this would be the easiest to fix any issues, hopefully you didn't downgrade a Wii that came with System Menu 4.0+). Anyway, so you were on some NTSC-U system menu greater than 3.2, then decided to downgrade to 3.2, but accidentally chose 3.2E.

Either way, another question to be asked is: If you bought your Wii in America, and thus with NTSC-U firmware. Accidentally downgraded to another region's firmware, what made you decide to upgrade to 4.2? Let alone 4.2 in the wrong region?

These are problems that may be able to be fixed, but now that you're on 4.2 it could be tricky. Either way, first, as Dami posted above, we need to know if you have either Preloader/Priiloader/bootmii (IOS/boot2) installed before we can give advice.

    Ca

the wii itself is 3 years old. I was trying to softmod and when i ran the downloader i used 3.2e instead of 3.2u. the wii will still turn on and all the but it is in black and white, the screen is bigger than normal, and it will not play any of my original games ntsc region. I have bootmii installed and have look for a ntsc nand to download but have been not able to find one.

    thanks

you cant dl a nand online... as the NAND is "wii" specific and will not work on your wii because the "keys will not match.... i would load homebrew and see if you can do a safe update or downgrade to 4.1U.... the files that you need are in the dogeggs guide...
