I've had no issues with USB Loader GX.
No, it a compatibility thing, my seagate freeagent HDD is only recognized by Configurable USB Loader. With the rest of the USB Loaders (GX included) I have to go thru a series of steps to get the drive recognized. I like it when I can power up my Wii and select my loader from the couch instead of playing with power cords and stuff. Compatibility is king.

That's totally irrelevant to the question at hand.

Therefore it's a preference thing with the consideration he hasn't had any isues with his brand of HDD no being recognised.

Lets not make more issues than there already are here.

Also ... has anyone used the USB Loader R849 .. is it a better version in comparison to R815.

    Thanks
While the subject has digressed somewhat, I would still like to put accorss my choice.

Personally I have USB Loader GX as a Wad. I do not use the forwarder. My reasons for this is that I do not want an SD card in the front of my Wii. Having a forwarder requires the SD card to be present with the USB Loader GX files present on the card.
