    Requesting HBC 1.0.6 feedback

My system is prompting that Home Brew Channel 1.0.6 is now available for installation.

Question 1: Overall, what has been the general feedback regarding this release, are most folks upgrading or staying with an older, existing release?

Question 2: If I choose to remain at version 1.0.5, which my current version of HBC - how can I disable the upgrade availability message ?

    Thank you

    Thank you for your feedback.

A follow up question: Isn't disabling wiiconnect24 enough or do I have to completely severe the wireless connection from the wii to the internet?

At present, I have the wiiconnect24 turned off. Using USB Loader GX, as I put new games on the hard drive, I'm able to download the 3D covers for the newly added games.

If, in order to go not get the HBC update messages, I have to completely remove the internet connection, it will also stop me from getting the covers for the game.

The obvious workaround here I can see would be to temporarily connect the wii to the internet, get the needed game covers, and completely disconnect it again from the internet.

Any other options I can explore ;-) ??

Is there not a setting within the HBC to not check for new releases, similarly to what many PC software have built in ?

hbc connections have nothing to do with wii connect 24 either upgrade or sever the connection entirely, though there's no reason not to upgrade, it wouldn't have been released if it weren't ready for use

I have been on 1.0.6 almost since the day it came out, never had a problem with it.
