Sorry guys i didn't make it clear in the first post. The games wouldn't crash or freeze during gameplay it was when in usb loader gx main menu. If i selected nsmb it would freeze usb loader then show dump screen but only after id played the game a few times. With Zelda TP i could click the game and it would show the cd spinning but there would be no music playing and would go to a black screen, this again happened after a few plays. A reinstall from the disk brought the music back and it would boot fine again.

The most recent version of nsmb i have seems to be working fine, have been testing it last few hours, plus Zelda still has the music so i guess will boot up fine also.

Must say after i reinstalled the ios's i also updated usb loader via the update option. Not sure if this will affect it.

    Thanks

Doesn't matter, ever heard of defects. I have had two harddrives go bad in less than a month. So don't think it isn't possible. Data doesn't go bad like milk does.

Hmmm ok so say it has got a fault on the drive how can i test it without formatting the partition to fat or ntfs?

Also Mario has frozen usb loader again, its strange i dont even need to click it just scroll past it and it locks up. This is the 4th version of the game ive tried so im guessing its to do with the console or the software. Zelda on the otherhand seems fine now so maybe reinstalling the iso's has helped that.

oddgriffin, i ended up formatting the drive to fat32 and did the windows quick and full scan and it found no problems, Ive formatted back to wbfs now and have my games back on the drive. Mario is working again but for how long!!?

Is it worth trying out the cIOS38 rev16? I must stress that when Mario is working it has never crashed once whilst playing.

Also i tried the pimpmywii wad file, it scanned my iso's and found some out of date and 1 missing one but when it came to installing them i got an error every time. Even an error when it tried updating the shopping channel.

May have to give up and buy the game lol
