    Nand Backups

I have my Wii on firmware 4.0E with usb loader, neo gammer, etc etc.
However i have only just loaded priiloader V0.2 although all the hacks i have done have been on there for a while. I beleive that in the past i have done a nand backup my question is "is there a way to check if i have a nand backup" or is there a way to backup the nand now?

    Thanks Matt

the root of the sd card should have a nand.bin and a keys.bin.

If you're not sure if you have done a backup of your NAND memory and you don't know where the backup is, I would say it was a matter of urgency that you did a backup, for recovery reasons, should your Wii ever brick.

Generally when you carry out a NAND backup you keep it on a computer\laptop for safe keeping. So if you don't know where it is and it isn't on your SD card it would suggest you don't have one.

As has already been said its best to get one done ASAP just in case
In the unlikely event I have managed to help you out be sure to say thank you!

    Taken from Messie's guide;

    2. BACK UP YOUR NAND (OPTIONAL)

Making a NAND backup with Bootmii is highly recommended, it will recover your Wii from 99.9% of bricks.
Use the same SD card you used to install Bootmii and make sure there is at least 530mb free on it.
Bootmii is very fussy about what SD cards it uses, so avoid generic ones and try and use a Sandisk or similar.

    a) Put the SD card into the Wii, if you installed Bootmii as boot2 then it will load, if it is installed as an IOS go to the Homebrew Channel, press 'home' on your wiimote and select 'Launch Bootmii'.

    b) Use the power/reset/eject buttons to navigate the Bootmii menu and select the icon with the gears on it. If those buttons don't work then you will have to use a Gamecube controller.

    c) Now select the icon with a green arrow pointing from the chip to the SD card and follow the on screen instructions.

    D) In about 10 mins you will have a NAND backup, it is normal to have up to 80 bad blocks so don't worry if you get some.

    e) Put the SD card into PC and copy the NAND backup somewhere safe, you can now delete it from your card. If you installed Bootmii as boot2 then also copy the Bootmii folder to your PC and either delete or rename it, otherwise it will load every time you switch your Wii on.

If ever you get bricked then copy the bootmii folder and NAND backup onto your card, do steps a) & b) again, using Preloader to get to HBC if necessary, then select the icon with the arrow going from the SD card to the chip. It is not recommended to restore your NAND if you have Bootmii installed as an IOS.
    Hope this helps
In the unlikely event I have managed to help you out be sure to say thank you!

Tried to backup the nand via priiloader and selecting bootmii ios but this didnt work got a message cound not find fat://bootmii/armboot.bin and when i load the hbc and press the home button i dont get an option to select 'Launch Bootmii'.
Im not sure how i have bootmii installed. Tonight i have tried to install bootmii as boot2 the problem i have is when i navigate to wii options the data management, channels then select sd card (this is how i originally loaded hackmii/hbc) the wii freezes with the load boot.dol/elf? if you paid, you were scammed! etc etc.

Initially i thought that maybe the boot.elf file was corrupt even though i can use all my hacks fine so i just overwriten the boot.elf file with another on my sd card but no joy. Does any1 have any ideas.
