Forwarder Channels - Firstly for USB Loader Configurable.

    All,

Im a new Wii owner for a week now and delving into the world of WiiHack.

The new Wii was Virgin 4.1e.

I updated it online before installing anything to 4.2e. Went Well.

Then I installed Homebrew Channel, DVDx and bootmii (bootmii as IOS).

I now have a USB drive with WBFS partition and USB Loader Configurable on Wii and it works perfectly.
I have used downloads and backups and downloading covers and all works fine.

The next step I want is to have a channel for the USB Loader Configurable and even for some of the games I have on the USB.

Installing channels to system menu seems to be a dark art.

I have downloaded 4-5 forwarder files from WEB but they all show an error.

    Error Ret=1

I want to go back to scratch for the forwarder issue.

I dont know if the folder name or loaction is wrong.
The wads are corrupt or am i installing them correctly.

Can someone point me or post clear directions on
    1: file to download
    2: where to put what
    3: doing the install
4: a good location for working / safe forwarders to use

Some forums are great but when you get 500 pages of comments its time to start a new thread with the updates from the 500 pages included.

Also is there any issue on installing WADs on 4.2e.

When I sort this I would then look at Preloader / Priiloader to do some backups.

    D

Error ret =-1 is the error that says 'I can't find anything'

Ensure that your wad files are in sd:\wad

You are right. That's such a stupid question I'm going to spend more time ridiculing it than I would need to actually give you an answer.

No section of the forum is for this sort of spoon feeding.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have a file called "CFG USBLoader - FDCL.wad" in the wad folder on the SD card.

I also tried "USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder-UCXF.wad" which had a dol file with it called USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder.dol but they both get the ret=1 error.

So I want to go back to scratch.

I dont know if the folder name or loaction is wrong.
