    I need help please

Hi guys, I am new to this and need a bit more help than others i think.

firstly I managed to install the homebrew channel on my wii by myself, yay. Also I have installed ultimate usb loader on the sd, but to run it I have to go into homebrew channel, click on /apps/usbv7/boot.dol.

I saw my mates wii and he had usb loader gx as a channel on his.

I would much prefer this, as it was way cooler, and for some reason my usb loader wont let me put any new games on the hard drive. something about memory alloc which i have read is about the terabyte hard drive not being compatible with my usb loader.

before you chop me for asking this and not following the instructions, I have looked and tried, and failed. all last night and this morning.

    on my sd card i have the following;

    a folder named apps.

in that i have 2 folders, one is cios36r10, other one is usbv7. both contain a file called boot.dol. the usbv7 one has a text file called config also.

there is another folder in the root called private. do i keep that one?

the last thing on the sd card is a wad file called IOS36-64-V1042.wad

oh yeah, i also downgraded my firmware to 3.2E to install all that, then put call of duty modern warfare in and it updated to 3.4E.

So, as you can see i am a complete noob, however i am happy with what i have achieved so far.

can anyone please tell me step by step in ultra noob terms what to put on my sd card to make a usb loader gx channel on my wii, or how to fix my current usb loader so it adds games running through homebrew. I would prefer the usb loader channel though.

thanks and please dont chop me for such a big ask. the only other option is to pay a guy at work 150 bucks to get it all done.

Tell you one thing, you need to update somethings. go to the guides section and find the 3.1-4.1 softmodding guide. start at step3 part d. this will update your cios and other ios files needed. after the guide there will bw a usbloadergx optional instal, this installs as a channel if you wish.

ok, just to be sure i started from step 1 on the guide from 3.1 to 4.1 and sure enough there was stuff in there i didnt have.

so now I am at step 4. "update your system menu version." I am scared to go ahead as i dont quite understand it and it is saying Warning - If you don't install the patched IOS60 first you will brick!

I obvioulsy dont want that, so can anyone let me know what to do here. how do i install the patched IOS60?

I got up to the stage where my homebrew channel went upside down and i re installed it and it works perfect now.

any help on installing the patched IOS60 would be great.
