    Imma n00b! :d

    Hi! I'm very new to this, I just got my Wii last week. Anyway, I'm going to pick up an SD card later today and try hacking my Wii. I see the use of a USB hard drive alot, and was wondering if I could use my iPod for the hard drive, or do I have to get an external/big SD?

    Let me add some more questions;

    Unless my DVD drive is the new one, I can play backup games from DVD-R (single layer), correct? Could I also play roms from a DVD-R, or is the USB/SD required for most things?

    The Wii needs a HDD formated to WBFS, you can't format an iPod to that.
    You can play backup DVD's.
    You cannot play roms as in ISO's, they have to converted with WBFS and stored on your HDD or SDHC.

    Ok, with the roms, I was talking about SNES and such. I wasn't sure if it would load them off a disc. Thanks for the help.

    they have to be loaded off SD card. SNES emulator and the like are not currently built to load off disc.
