I would try to use usb loader gx. If it doesn't work, we know it is probably a cios issue. The usb loader is in the pack from messie's guide.

ok get the first pack from messie's guide and format sd card fat32 and put the files on the card. go to homebrew channel and load wad manager. select usb loader gx on the list of files in the wad folder and install it. It is a good bet if you lost your cios you will get a black screen when you try to load wad manager, if so come back and let me know. leave neogamma alone for now. we are not removing things.

Will neogamma work using a dvd backup...any game???
If so not a cIOS issue i dont think.
I can try to help u if you would like do u have IRC? and can u meet me in a chat room so we can do this the proper way? As just by reading your posts you are a NoOb (no offense lol) and you should always be %100 sure of what you are doing. Little things u should know like the USB stick will only work in one of your USB ports on your wii (when standing upright its the left one) as u try one wrong thing and you could end up with a brick...

After all this did you happen to try another USB/SD stick? Does Neogamma even try to mount the USB stick?
I use neogamma myself and the only game i have problems with loading from USB(that i have tried) was guitar hero
