try changing your security to WEP... not WPA-PSK...

thanks might help... it will still be secure but you will have to enter a 26 digit key instead of a passphrase...

and were you able to get language and region fixed....

WPA-PSK here too, channel 6. Wii connects as Unknown to my router.

Try turning off security to get the Wii connected initially and then add the security later once you know it's working.

Routers can be strange things sometimes and prevent unknown devices from attaching.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Question to OP , when you followed Dogeggs tutorial did you install these wads.

    IOS38-64-v3610
    IOS50-64-v4889
    IOS53-64-v5149
    IOS55-64-v5149

If you didn't already install those IOS i would do those first , they should be in the pack you downloaded from Dogeggs guide.

If you did and still want to upgrade to 4.1 you can install the system menu using a wad. You will need to install IOS60-patched first with Wad Manager using IOS249 and the install this wad . Or you can download the system menu wad from NUS yourself.

    Japan 4.1 System Menu.rar

Thanks to all who replied i musr say your help is invaluable to novices thank you.

    dr34m3r

On dogeggs guide i have done step 4 and in stalled ios60-patched.

i have not installed the list below as this is part 6.

    IOS38-64-v3610
    IOS50-64-v4889
    IOS53-64-v5149
    IOS55-64-v5149

so if i now install the 4 wads above
and then install the sustem menu i downloaded re japan system menu as per your link it will all be fine.

Just to update i am running a chipped wii with 3.4j on at the moment.

    Thamks again guys
