    Boot Mii wont Work 4.2U

I have recently start to become a wii hacker, so I got the homebrew channel easy! I want to get wads now but not until I have protection by Boot Mii, I tried to install it use "hackmii_installer_v0.6.zip" from bootmii.org. I get everything on my card and followed this guide:
    Bootmii installation

////First thing you should do is get hold of a brand name 1gb SD card

Next thing to do is format the card to (fat) and make an Apps folder on it,
    then place the bootmii/hackmii installer folder with a boot.elf file inside,ie apps/hackmii installer/boot.elf.

Next place the SD card into your wii,and go into HBC.
All u should see is the hackmii installer, start the installer, this will boot you into the bootmii installation.

Now you have the option to install/update DVDX and HBC,as well as the bootmii install.
As this is just a bootmii install guide I,ll leave DVDX and HBC out.

First u will come to an option to format card, choose yes, then once its finished with formatting, continue up to install bootmii as boot2.
(if your wii was made after nov 08,then choose install as IOS)
Once its finished with boot2 or IOS install, you can exit out of the installer, this will take you back to HBC.

Now turn your wii off and delete just the apps folder off your sd card, put the sd back in,and then turn the wii back on,
You will now be booted straight into the bootmii options screen.

Now you will either need to have a Gamecube controller,or you can use the wii reset and eject buttons to navigate the options.
Gamecube contoller goes into port 1 (port nearest the front of your wii)

First go to the option that looks like a cog,
Next you will see some more screen options, choose the first option (in green)
This is the nand backup option,it will backup your wii nand to your sd card.

Start the backup, you will see it slowly backup each block, which if all is ok will turn into green blocks.
The backup will take about 10 mins, its ok if u get a few bad factory blocks,(black) as long as it reaches the bottom of the screen, your ok.
At the end it will go back through and verify,or you can skip this, but I let it verify.

(If it does not like your choice of sd card, you will get a ‘Backup failed - 1’)
Don,t panic just turn off your wii, take the SD card out,put the text doc and the bootmii folder that’s on it onto a new/other 1gb SD card, put it back into your wii, start the wii and again you will boot back into Bootmii, then just start the nand backup again.\\\\

I get to the part when it says delete you apps folder, in my sd card this is what I would have:
    Folders:
    DCIM <-- Picture/video folder
Bootmii <-- Of course the folder for boot mii
installer <-- Boot mii text document
Apps <-- I had apps until I need to delete it

Now I deleted my apps folder so now I have:
    DCIM
    BootMii
    Installer Document

Now I need to put my SD card back in the wii first then start it up, it says I should automatically launch to BootMii, well it does I just go to the wii main menu!

    Please Help!

Did you install Bootmii as an IOS? If so then you need to start HBC, press Home, and load Bootmii from there. Bootmii only launches when the console is powered on if installed to boot2.

Load the HBC, then hit home key and load bootmii.

Follow the 4.2 guide in my sig below. It will show you how to properly install Bootmii. Install to boot2 if it's an option, if not install as an IOS.

If you're able to install as boot2, Bootmii will run when the console is powered on if the bootmii folder is in the root of the sd card, and contains the files armboot.bin, bootmii.ini, ppcboot.elf. If as an IOS, follow the instructions mauifrog and I gave you.

If you installed it as boot2, it should load when the wii boots.

Did you follow the instructions above? Boot2 requires that folder to launch. Installing as an IOS if you have the option to use, and have successfully installed, boot2 is not recommended.

You may need to get a compatible SD card, Sandisk 2GB are very good, especially the little microSD ones with adapters that you can get for mobile phones.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
