    My Nand friends wii

I have a fully softmoded wii working great.

Can i install bootmii on my friends wii then do a nand dump then use his key and my nand backup to just flash his wii to the state that my wii is in?

Every Wii is unique, you may end up bricking your friends Wii if you copy your NAND to his NAND.

well what Stomp sayd explains it all. U cant really use nanad backup in other wiis, only your own. Each wii has its own number or something and it wont work for others.

Yeah what more do you want? Stomp answered your question and told you why. A + N = BRICK, where N ≠ an original NAND.

The own number for the wii is the key i am talking about. when you dump your nand there are 2 files the key and the nand. I can use his key with my nand. that is what i am asking

No, the NAND.bin still contains identifiers unique to the console from which it was created. To unbrick your friend's console follow this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...tion-here.html

Your console id is still embedded in your nand as well as in the keys. Ever since bootmii beta 3 I believe bootmii started to make a separate key.bin file.

If you don't believe what they are telling you open it with a hex editor and see for yourself.

Ugh this thread is leading to fail....you got your answer already, asking for more help is not going to get you a different answer.
