    Softmod or Modchip??

I recently purchased a Wii and wondering is it better to softmod and buy a modchip? I am just looking to be able to play backups and emulators. Also I have a PS3 with a 1TB HD connected to USB to play movies. Can that also be done with the Wii?? Thanks everyone.

For using the harddrive and saving money, i would softmod. I just set a terrabyte harddrive up for a friend yesterday and it was amazing. Best of all, take a retail game and hit install, and it is now on the harddrive.

That sounds like a great idea, USB external hard drive with all the ISO games on, win-win.

So - how can I achieve such a thing does the USB hard drive have a menu system where you can choose which game to load?

I would be very grateful if someone could point me to the tut or instruction on how to set up such a system please?

    Tx
