Unhappy Modding for Band Hero to work!

I'm sorry if this question may have been asked before, I've been reading for quite a while before deciding to post a new thread to ask my questions.

Being a technie noob that I am regarding modding and hacks, I couldn't understand alot of terms and I hope someone could help me.

Recently bought a Band Hero original to play but apparently it doesn't work. So I was told to do an update and everything for me to play.

Seeked my friend's help, and was told to install this installer38rev15 file. It looks fine. Then I proceeded to install NeoGammaR8.wad through the WadManager 1.3.

This is where the problem comes. Everytime I try installing NeoGammaR8, it has error (ret = -1017). I have no idea what that is and neither my friend does.

Furthermore, I tried just running the game through NeoGammaR8 through the homebrew channel and it doesn't load as well...

Could any kind souls help me regarding this? I got nowhere else to turn to.

Sorry again if this question has been asked somewhere. I really tried my best to search this forum but to no avail...

I am completely in the dark about downloads etc. My wii is soft moded and came with a note saying not to update when conected to the net, I havent been on the net yet because I didnt want to wipe the mod. Ive just got band hero and its not working obviously something to do with the chip? Can someone please tell me in step by step, easy to understand instructions what I can do to get it working please?

I needed a quick fix to save Christmas!

All I installed was IOS56-64-v5146.wad then Install cIOS249-ISO36-rev07.wad per the read me, rebooted and it worked! I did not install the other ISO's, I fig if it works with as little as possible the better, thanks.

FYI, still have issues with the USB loader, but that will come after Christmas if you know what I mean!

Do you have a SD card with the software?

You will need that and install the IOS56-64-v5146.wad as per these post.

you probably paid to have it soft modded didnt you???
Anyways I beleive you need the newest version of wadmanager (1.5) to get the newer neogamma's installed correctly. To do this you need an SD card.
On the root of that SD card you need a folder called apps (where wad manager will go) and a folder called WAD (this is were) your wads will go.

Although some wads will go on the root.
Sounds to me like yu NEED to do alot of reading (its all on this site) about the wii sof mod scene for your sake and your wii's

    Chhers,

Thats because you are on REV 7 now and Rev 7 does not have USB support, If you need USB install REV 14, But that will wipeout the ability to play GH5.
I post this because I do not have USB but you can switch between them both to use the software you need

    Hope that helps
