Thanks for the link, I checked the database and my console doesn't have that chip (thankfully)
How long ago did you have your wii modded with a mod chip?
If its a fairly old one, like over 1 year old then the mod chip is your problem. Get rid of it and even NSMB will work fine.
I kept getting that error with NSMB but it worked twice driving me crazy because I thought it was something I did. It was the mod chip.
Heck I loaded CisCorp and everything works from the drive channel. don't even need to use neogamma but it works through there too.
My wii modded 2 years +. Oh dear, how do I remove the mod chip?
I went back and checked the shop's wii and they r using Neogamma R7 RC4 and IOS249
I asked the shop personnel and they seems to know nothing -_-
I tried launching the same game RE: Darkside Chronicles with the same version they r using. And now it shows
"DVD Read Error (1101)"?? D:
Mine showed the same with the old chip in. You have to remove the chip. There are many tutorials on how to do this online. First you need a triwing screwdriver and precision or mini screwdriver and just follow the instructions on how to open your wii.
If you wii was soldered and you have never soldered in your life then you will need someone to do un-soldered it for you. If your wii was modded using a snap-on, solderless then you can remove it yourself. It just pops off.
so you need to find out and then you can decide what to do. Neogamma works with some games and doesn't with others if you have an old mod chip in. Drove me nuts. Sometimes( rarely) it will even load the game that is refusing to load causing further confusion.
I have no idea what type of modchip is installed in my wii
I tried opening my wii by following a tutorial and i can't even open it haha (noob)
but my guess the modchip is soldered..
If i launch with another loader (priiloader, usb, etc) will the games work? without removing the modchip
my last resort is going back to the shop and it will cost me a BOMB
