    ISO Preparation

I am finishing my Wii Hacking tonight and will be using a Wii Backup to test its functioning.

What do I need to do to make any ISO safe?

Do I simply run WiiBrickBlocker to remove the update section or do I have to run WiiScrubber aswell? Also, is there any other programs that I should use to ensure my backups are safe and won't brick my Wii??

As far as I know WiiScrubber removes the update content of the ISO aswell as unnessecary data which makes the ISO larger. But thats about all you can do, as far as I know the chance for it to get bricked only comes from updating the game.

    Thanks for that.

Am I limited to playing games from my region code or can I play NTSC games on my PAL Wii??

What kind of backup are you planning on running with a black virgin wii?

I've been following Messie's guide to Softmod the 4.2, and got to the stage where I need to install USB Loader GX. Unfortunately, I needed the HDD to do this step and it hadn't arrived.
It arrived today, so I will be finishing the Softmod this evening and need a backup to test the overall functionality and confirm that I have completed the mod sucessfully.

New Super Mario Brothers may be used to test so far, which is a EUR region code. I also have Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers which is NTSC.

Maybe it's beginner's luck. I just set up a terrabyte wd drive today. I modded with the 3.1-4.1 softmod guide. Put 23 iso files from the pc onto it. force ntsc and 002 fix on the usbloader gx from the guide. All games play fine and covers downloaded just fine.

Please, before trying NSMB and then coming back here to make a post that it doesn't work, read this first:http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/28589-guide-new-super-mario-bros.html. We don't tolerate questions about NSMB around here

    Merry Christmas!!!
