This only happens when you load the disk? The wii works fine otherwise?

What system menu are you on? You don't have any softmods, just the chip?

How are you burning your iso's? What media are you using? How many iso's have you tried? Are you able to configure the chip?

    Hi,

I start the WII up and press button A as directed. I then insert the disk, and on the menu i select the top left menu item with then tales me into the screen with the animation oif the disk beign read. It then fails there. I have tried about 5 disks and these are disks that i purchased in China. The originals work fine. I have even copied at 4X speed and re burned at 4X speed one of the copies and still wont load.

I dont have any software modes, just the chip... But what i dont know is if anyone has run the online update to the firmware before the chip was inserted.

you are probably playing an out of region game and the 4.2 update killed your out of region gaming on your mod chip. That is one of the answers which is the good news. The bad news might be that you have a d3-2 board in your wii and you can not play dvd-r on your wii. Even if you have a modchip put in it, you will not be able to play burned dvds at all. You will need to softmod your wii and use usb loader gx to play backup games.
