USB hard drive problem with DUMP MESSAGE

My Wii is 4.2U and I have installed the required CIOS,
but my Wii does not detect the USB hard drive.
when I use any of the USB loaders I get a dump messge with a black background or black screen.

The dump message is below (the message also contain codes):
    Exception (DSI) occured
    STACK DUMP
    CODE DUMP

    Please help me, thank you

USB Loader, NeoGamma, and USB Loader GX.
But from what I read on the list of compatible USB loaders, USB Loader GX should work very well.
My USB hard drive is a Western Digital 320GB Elements Portable.

make sure the drive is plugged into the correct usb slot. when it is standing up make sure you plug into the slot furthest to the left. If that fails try removeing the usb loader channel you have, go to their website and download the latest and install it. The channel you have might be corrupt in some way. Not bad enough to cause a banner brick but enough to crash the Wii.

I had a similar problem, solved it by putting the SD card back into my Wii console. It also has the files from part D in this tutorial on them : http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html.

Even though I installed the USB loader as a channel, it still needs the SD card. Don't know if this is normal, but everything's working fine here so I'm happy with this solution.
