Rock Band, RawkSD and the Disc Channel

After recently discovering RawkSD and it's potential, I grabbed a copy, followed the included tutorial and installed everything as required. I also found out afterwards that RawkSD stops Rock Band backups from working in the the disc channel, which wasn't mentioned in the tutorial which is just wonderful.

Anyway, after spending the last 4 hours trawling through the net, the only possible fixes I can find lead to dead download links or extremely confusing guides. I don't really mind if the DLC doesn't work or not anymore, I just want to be able to use my USB instruments (so I don't want to use the Gamma launcher instead).

I'm using a PAL Wii with a NTSC Rock Band backup. I've heard that using a retail version of the game fixes the problem, and that there's also a Rock Band launcher somewhere (dead links everywhere). Either solution is fine, I just want to be sure it actually works before I start tampering with random things on my Wii.

Can anyone give me a hand in finding a solution? This is getting a bit frustrating now.

On a final note, forgive me if I'm asking in completely the wrong location, feel free to point out if there's a better place to ask.

yeah, the rock band instruments (specifically the drums) working with the RB/GH games is always a headache and it really doesn't have a definite solution. it depends on your system but I will list a guide that I used to get it working with.
[HOWTO] Play Rock Band Backups - GBAtemp.net

that guide will get your RB instruments working with your RB games but I haven't been successful in getting it to play GH5 though... good luck

Excellent, this is exactly what I needed! Just installed the Rock Band launcher and it works perfectly.
