    Hi,

I have a brand new Wii which I bought yesterday, I have been trying to play my backup of New Super Mario Bros. but with no sucess, I have softmoded it and am not sure what I can do, I am thinking of reverting it then starting from scratch but am unsure, Would like some help.

    Thanks

I think if you provided more information it would be easier for others to answer you. What loaders are you using? What sort of error are you getting? etc...

    Hi,

I was getting a Disk Read error (Can not remeber the number) when I was using this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html , After that I went searching and found out that I might have to try to use another version of neogamma, So I loaded that and was getting a 1011 disk read error, Now It will not even load neogamma anymore. This is my first time modding a Wii, But i have successfully modded other consoles without a hitch.

You will never get the wii back to "virgin" state, even though you have the exact same software/IOSs etc as a new wii. Just google around for another 4.2e/u guide with good responses, as (at least i've seen) quite some people have gotten problems from this guide.

Dude I was in the same spot as you just in the morning yesterday. I suggest downloading this,

Worked like a charm for me.

Download that, unrar it, and burn it.

THEN run with Uloader 3.1! Make sure the version is 3.1!

I have a 4.2 wii too and it works! Trust me

Make sure to use DVD-R discs, any company, I used some brand named Corner Office, REALLY cheap, got 10 discs for $4.99. Make sure to use IMGBURN!

If you found this useful please thank me.

I believe that's the new optical drive which cannot read burned discs, need someone else to confirm it though.

If it is, then the only option for softmodding it and playing backed up games are via HDD's or flash sticks with WBFS-manager.

http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html works like a dream. Kudos to messie for that
