    HDD Staying on whe Wii is off

    Have to drives using..(just testing now) 1 drive is a 1TB WD Mybook and the othe is a Seagate freeagent...Both work formatted the whole drive..no partitions..play games no prob..

    Am I suppossed to have partitions?

    And why is it staying on when Wii is off?

    Some people use additional partitions if they need a fat32 to store things some apps can use> like movies, gamecovers, and homebrew apps.

    Oh ok...But is there a way so my HDD goes off when my wii is off?

    yellow light mean standby, red is power off (press and hold power button for 3 sec )

    Not the power for the Wii...The power on my HDD that I use to load games on stays on when the wii is off...

    Is there a way to keep it off when the wii is off????

    I'm guessing it uses a wall plug? The mybook drives seem to have trouble shutting down when the wii does, if you keep it in a ventilated place though it shouldn't hurt it, however if it urks you just unplug it.

    I use one of them power strips with a switch on it, and only plug in my HDD to it. What type of FreeAgent do you have, the FreeAgent Desk or FreeAgent Go, and what size is it? The reason I ask is because I have a 500GB FreeAgent Desk and it has given my a lot of problems in the past.
