    WBFS half drive size

Couldnt find anything here in this section about formatting with WBFS and being able to use only half the drive size for games...Is this true with all Hard drives? I tried with my 120Gb and after formatting it with WBFS my blocks free are only about half of the total free space thus meaning if I put anything else after free blocks it wont work. I also tried creating another partition and using only half the hard drive for games but after formatting it again made it only half the size, is there any way to use the full 120gb for games instead of only half cause I feel like im losing out on half my drive space i could use for other storage? Thanks!

cause you had 2 partition. if you partition you HD all 120 gb then format it to fat then format to wbfs.

Thats how I currently have it, I repartitioned it back to one single partition of 120 (well 111 is what it is naturally...) and then loaded it into WBFS and clicked Format...so now Im back to: Free Space-111.75Gb and Free Blocks-57216 which is about half the drive size, thus if I put anything past 57Gb on the drive it renders that file or files as useless.

    111.75+57=168.75 you only have 120gb.

After its formatted with WFSB my drive at the bottom where it shows the details says: Total Space:111.78GB Used Space:0.03GB Free Space:111.75GB Blocks Free:57216

This is after a fresh format with no games on it, I only have half my blocks free of the total size of my drive.

when you were making the WBFS partition did you make sure to delete the old partition leave as raw, and then use WBFS manager to make the partition?

Hmmm, not sure lol. All i did was go through a Fat32 format through my computer to erase all data on the drive, then load the drive up in WBFS manager and click format, maybe Im missing a step then...

http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...s-usb-hdd.html follow it step by step, if that doesn't work wipe the drive with killdisk and try again

Well i tried both ways, through the guide and using the program...everything follows up like its supposed to but I still have only half my drive usable, extremely frustrating... The same thing happened when I tried using an 8gb stick I had lying around.

recommend fulling wiping the drive with killdisk Active@ Kill Disk Hard Drive Eraser. Low Level Format. this program PERMANENTLY wipes the data from any device, it should truly clean the drive, and if the problem does indeed lie with its file system and whatnot this should fix it.
