    requesting priiloader install help

Ok, so here's a tricky task that I'm not sure how to handle and go about addressing so thought to ask y'll experts.

Below is a quick background of where I was as of last week, where I am now, and where I want to go (LOL)

    --virgin Wii, on 2.2u
--Ran MarioKart - got upto 3.1u
--Had my wii softmodded by someone (I'm learning more about it as I go along)
--Got HBC, USB loader and neogamma7 installed - all appears to be fine

As I learn more, I noticed that I don't have the following:

    --bootmi
    --priiloader

Learned that priiloader needs at least 3.2u and above

--So, last night, I ran wii fit disk and updated system to 3.3u
--Tested the softmod, all the current games, all 15 working fine
--installed USBLoader GX - all is well

    Where I want t go ??

I'd like to install priiloader and bootmii. The main purpose for the priiloader would to be to have the safety net of a brickblocker. I don't know what and why I need bootmii at thit point but hoping you expert will tell me the reasons.

As a noob, I may have worded something incorrectly so I'll apologize in advance but I'd be glad to provide any/all details if something asks the right questions ;-) to check what is or isn't installed on my modded wii.

Thanks for your time reading this post. And thanks in advance for providing feedback.

Follow through the 3.1-4.1 tutorial in my sig below. This will install both bootmii and priiloader, which are both great to have. Since your wii is old enough to have been on 2.2 you should be able to install bootmii as boot2 - make a NAND backup and you'll be able to recover from just about any brick.

Right now priiloader isn't working for you because it requires 3.2/4.0/4.1/4.2 to function. Using the guide below can take you to firmware 4.1, if you want, which will also give you the ability to load channels through your sd card.

Ithian - Thanks for the feedback.

I'm currently on 3.3u now and the Wii is already softmodded so concerns are that I might undo or misconfigure something that is already functioning..

If there are specific steps I should take per that guide link, so only the missing components are installed - that would be ideal.

Fortunately you won't undo anything by running that guide. You can skip installing anything you're certain you've already installed. I think it might be good for you to run the whole thing because it might contain updates or later revisions of items you've already installed.

Just run through the guide word for word. You won't damage anything and yes it will overwrite.
