    Global cIOS

I need help on understanding global cIOS. I assume that global here means the governing or default cIOS used, but what I want to know and can seem to find by searching for global is how I tell what cIOS I have as global and how I would change to use another cIOS? (e.g. changing IOS249 to IOS222)

    Waninkokos cIOS249, Hermes cIOS222 using (38 merged 37), cIOS223 using 38, and cIOS202 using (38 merged 60).

In reading about USB Loader GX it talks about “-If your global cIOS is 249 and you set an individual game's cIOS to 222/223, it will not always work. On the other hand, if you set your global boot to 222 and set an individual boot to 249, it should work fine.” I don’t understand how to do this or how to tell what I using?

The cios that is used is determined by the loader. Ios249 is the undisputed default at the moment. Most loader also support other cios, such as ios 222/223. This can be set in the settings of the loader. Assuming that cios 222/223 was installed.

when you say "undisputed default at the moment" does this mean it is the global cIOS used when launching apps (boot.dol/elf files) unless an app allows you to change what cIOS it uses?
