    Help Installing USB Loader GX

    Hi,

I have recently softmodded my wii using the "New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wii" and as it is a new black wii it will not read any discs.

I am looking to install the USB loader GX onto it as I have read that this is the only way to play backups on the new black wii's.

I have downloaded the USB loader and am wondering if it is as simple as placing the "USB Loader GX r815 - ULNR.wad" into the wad folder of the SD card and installing it via wad manager 1.4

Is there anything else I would need to do or would this get me playing backups via USB loader?

I know this is a noob question but I just want to be sure about it and dont want to brick.

Thanks a lot for all the help

Your guide should tell you extactly what to do but once you've followed all the steps then you simply like you said just need to install it via wad manager. Not sure how different your guide is from mine but I was able to access the Usb Loader using the Homebrew channel, installing the wad was optional for me.

If you want USB loader GX as a channel, install USBLoaderGXr850.wad (this will isntall the full channel, but you can install the forwarder instead, USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad, which can be directly updated by placing updated version in the SD card, yet you will need the SD card constantly inside the Wii slot to launch it. Install whichever sounds more useful to you)
