    new wii

I don't know if this is the right thread for this. I just wanna know if my wii will work if I put the drivekey in it. It has a 4.1u firmware and the model # is LU72349226.

    Thank you,
    Jenny

Is a drivekey gonna be of any use to you if you can't use backup disks?

At this stage of the game there is no work around or methodogy to bypass this. It is a controller chip to the drive and it will not allow disk backups in softmod or hardmod wiis. If you have it, you'll have to run iso image files via sd/usb devices.

Most loaders as of late are able to load games from sd cards, usb flashdrives and usb external harddrives as well as disks. There are alot of possibilities, the main thing to do after softmodding is to get one of these devices and format it to the wbfs file system. wbfs manager will do this and load your iso files onto it from your pc. then just hook it up to the wii and choose usb device to play games from. This is becoming more and more commonplace as disks are more of a pain for ppl.
