Its actually in the tutorial section. Go look in there and look for shop channel and ios61. Those are what youll need.

    yeah i have searched bud..

I found this in the forums...
    http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-dow...installer.html

My only concern is I'm sure I read somewhere that an offline installation is prefered and also I'm worried about IOS61 and what it potentially could do to my wii.

    Any advice would be apprieciated!!

ps...thanks for your help yesterday Griffin :-)

I personally have not tried it, but i know for the most part the optional steps in the guide are safe.

The older shop channel used ios51. When nintendo came out with the 4.0 firmware, they changed the shop channel and also changed the ios its ran on from ios51 to ios61. If you load the shop channel without updating it (with what I just said), it will tell you that you need to update. If you continue with the update through nintendo, you could very well lose some if not most of your softmods thus having to reinstall them. If you go and do it the way I just said, youll be updating ONLY the stuff needed to run shop channel without touching anything else on your console. For instance..... If I was using the old shop channel and right now started it up, it would ask me to update. Now do remember that I am running firmware 3.2. It would update me to atleast 4.0 which would make my shop channel work but also could cause my backup launcher to not work and maybe even my emulators. I instead did the exact same thing I just said you should do. There are 2 parts to getting the shop channel to work. Youll download the ios61 wad file. Youll install that wad FIRST using wad manager. Once thats installed, youll download the shop channel wad. Youll install that SECOND using wad manager. That wad will overwrite the old wad so you wont have 2 of the same channels on your wii. After that your good to go.
