What does this mean??
I was burning a game at 1x speed, and it completed fine. However, after the burning completion, I got an error message from ImgBurn verifying the disc at 98%. The error message said:
Device: [3:0:0] ATAPI DVD DD 2X16X4X16 G7Z9 (D: ) (ATA)

when I tried " Try Again" and "Continue" The same error pop up.
Anybody encounter this before? What went wrong? How can I do to fix it? Thanks!
Yup had it before. Just means it didn't burn. Had it happen with 360 burns and wii burns. Try burning again. Sometimes you get the game sometimes you get a coaster. You should be able to burn a 2x sometimes that may work better than just 1x
and as i suggested before you need to have as much free ram for your burner as possible. it needs to be the center of attention when it is handling iso files that windows cannot read. stop as much processes from running in the background. i always reboot before burning. it may seem like overkill, but i do not make coasters.
I tried it twice after restarting my computer. I terminated all the background programs ( Except for AVG 9.0 which I cannot stop), and copied at 2x speed, yet I keep getting the same error message during verification at about 98%. Could it be the no brand DVD-R that I got? I have not yet bought the verbatium DVD-R, but I was just wondering if its because of the low quality DVD-R that I'm using right now that's causing the problem. What do you guys think? Thanks!
I wouldnt say its the media brand. Honestly reboot the PC and run only imgburn. Dont have anything else run in the background including any screensavers. If it happens again, it could be a bad iso image file. I have had this happen to me a few times. Basically its caused by that particular section not being burned correctly and when it gets back to that part in verifying, the error comes up. If that error comes up, its a coaster reguardless. Try another game if it happens once more. If it continues with that game, I would try a different media brand. I just wouldnt jump to conclusions as brands doesnt have an effect on the burn itself, just how easy it is to be read by the wii drive.
and antivirus programs are the biggest memory hogs of all.
I restarted my computer, closed all the background programs, and set the burning speed at 3x. I even downloaded other ISO's to test it out. Despite all these, I'm still getting the same error message. What else can I do to try to fix the problem? Any ideas / advices? Thanks!
What kind of drive do you have ?? I thought only certain drives could read wii discs. So if it cant read it can it verify it ??? I nevery verify mine because it wont some error but havent done it in a long time so i cant tell you exactly what it says. As long as it burns ok.
i would try to burn it at x4
Your right only special drives can read Wii discs, although when you are burning them it doesn't matter. Same with verification, it is just verifying that the ISO you are burning has been transferred properly.
