If bannerbomb doesn't work for you anymore you may need to look into Smash Stack or Indiana Pwns.

Correct, NO HBC I don't want to sound like I'm being mean, but I did mention that. I tried my best to explain the situation in full detail and after doing some more research, I haven't found ANYONE complaining that they can't get HBC installed via banner. Pretty sure whatever I did ruined any chances of softmodding. Maybe the LEGO jones would work and I did buy smash brothers.

Anyways, keep the information coming as I'll be trying anything until I get it to work!

I've come across a lot of people having problems with Bannerbomb, it is usually rectified using Smash Stack or Indiana Pwns.

The store exchanged my Wii for a totally brand new one. I'll open it this weekend and find out what version it is. We bought New Mario Brothers and it has an update on the disc I believe to 4.1. Is it 100% safe to do this update and still be able to end up modding it or do I need to install a 3rd party 4.1 update of some kind?

After I find this out, I will start reading 10 times over the guide for 4.1 (if I'm allowed to New Mario Brothers update) homebrew, cios and usb loader guides and then reading then 10 times again before I do ANYTHING.

Thanks for the quick replies ahead of time. You guys totally rock!

Use the NSMB update before you start softmodding.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
