Your NAND restore doesn't give you back access to your Wii? No just re-installing the system Menu will leave all your saved data and wads.

It froze in the middle of downloading and installing the ios. Now when I start up my wii it shows a black screen. No bootmii or preloader!!

    P.S. I have bootmii installed as boot2.

I think i'm depressed. My mom's gonna kill me!

    What should I do?
From the stars and strips I am guessing you have a US NTSC wii.

Download cboot2_wadmanager_1.5_mod.zip and extract to a formated sd-card
    Download ios30-v1040.wad
    Download System menu 3.2u.wad
    Place both wads in sd:\wad
    Place sd-card in wii, you'll need a gc-controller in port1
Boot the wii, wadmanager 1.5 mod starts
Use ios249, load from SD, nand emulation disabled
    Install ios30-v1040.wad
    then
    Install system menu 3.2 wad
    Then download preloader from here
    Install from HBC
    Place hack.ini on your sd-card
Hold reset and boot into preloader, enable desired hacks, like update block.

    hi mauifrog,

I followed instructions and preloader is installed but, i think i have a banner brick. I click A when prompted on the health and safety banner. After I press A the banner fades away and my wii freezes. No bgm. How do I fix this?

Did you install anything else? Did the system menu load before preloader? Any idea what could be causing a banner brick? Can you boot HBC?

If HBC will not boot, install HBC-loader.zip into preloader, the load any title deleter mod, be sure to update the database by pressing 2 in the app. Then list what is installed and post it here.

The system menu did work before I installed preloader. I don't know a lot about wii ios' and system menus but before i installed preloader I installed cios. Could that be interfearing with my wii system menu? I can boot into hbc through bootmii. Before I installed preloader all of my wads were working properly.

If you have any hacks enabled in preloader, disable them and test the system menu again. Also make sure that the ios is set to ios30 in preloader. If the still fails, reinstall ios30-v1040, then system menu 3.2, same as before, skip preloader for now, and make sure everything else is working as it should. If it is all working go to the 3.1-4.1 guide linked below and bring your system menu up to 4.1 if you like, update the cios if you are not already on r14.

Don't update or uninstall bootmii, leave it as is for the moment as you may need it again.

I tried everything above but the health and safety menu is still frezing. I downloaded ios 30 from nusd because the link you gave me was broken. Could that be a problem?

Which cios did you install before preloader?

And you download ios30-v1040 from nus, it installed fine, your system menu was functioning, then you installed cios and preloader, now no system menu.

My wii is not fixed. I can't reply for about a week because i'm on vacation. i've noticed if i install preloader then it's just a banner brick but if i restore in bootmii recovery it's just a low level brick. If i install preloader again then it's a banner brick again! I'm confused!!!
