I did look around for a thread relating to this, but couldn't find one..
I just got a new console,
Wii 4.2U Unmodded (It ran an update)
I've been reading lots of threads, on this site, and others.
Half of them seem to advise downgrading for an easier softmod.
I see a guide for both ends of firmware mods. (3.1-4.1 / 4.2)
What should I do?

Can someone please help me out?
Or at least link me to something?
There is no SAFE way to downgrade from 4.2 as of yet. There are some nasty stories about people trying to downgrade from 4.2 and bricking. Your best bet is to re-mod the system with the 4.2 guide.

I downgraded my PAL Wii from 4.2E to 4.1E using the following wads thru wad manager
IOS60-64-v6174 [TB+ES_div+NAND].wad THIS MUST BE LOADED FIRST OR RISK BRICKING
System Menu-NUS-v450.wad THIS IS PAL YOU NEED YOUR REGION ONE, OR RISK BRICKING
Easy Peezy or maybe lucky?

I'm not sure as of yet. I've heard of a few people able to downgrade their systems successfully. For me it's too much of a risk to try yet.

I dont see why people want to downgrade their wii's from 4.2.
Their is an easy way to mod a virgin 4..2. The only differance is the Trucha Bug restorer. I have modded several 4.2 Wii's with no probs at all, in fact I have upgraded some from 3.4 to 4.2 then modded them so they have the latest firware on it.
The only problems I am geting is modding a new wii with the DVD3-2 drive in it but thats another story
4.2 can be a pain depending on how rooted the stub is, some 4.2 systems have literally take me 20 minutes...some have taken me a few hours.
