Getting ready to convert my external HD to a Wii HD

I am going to use this tutorial and have read through it:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...s-usb-hdd.html

Before I start I want to get a clarification on creating a partition. It is recommended to make a partition for the PC since a PC can't read a Wii HD, my question is can I just create a full Wii HD(no pc partition) if all I plan on doing is moving games on and off it?

I have a 2 gig SD card I plan to use for emulators and appz so I don't need it for that, also I modded my PS2 and I have a hard drive for it, and it is set up to only work on PS2,but I can put games on it using a program for installing and deleting games.

Are there any other benefits to creating a PC partition besides loading emulators and other appz like an SD card?

Edit: Read through the tut again and it says "an NTFS-formatted partition is required to handle files > 4GB. Wii game ISOs are typically 4.37GB." Does this mean I need to creat a PC NTSC partition larger than 4.37 GB's so I can move a file that size?

I have 500gb with no pc partition, just use WBFS manager to format the whole drive for wii use.

So I am using WFBS manager and I see it says format, I formatted my HD does this mean it is a Wii HD and is ready to load Wii games, or do I need to use the steps in the tutorial?

using WBSF Manager is really easy to format it. Its a great program but it doesn't seem to read/see .ciso files for the games used in an USB HD.

I use WBSF Intelligent V6, its a lot easier to use and understand. Very basic, you just add a game and press an arrow (>) and it'll transfer to your Drive.
    Personally I love it!

Here is the download link for it: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Very good program, I recommend it for usb loading users.
