I know the wii has wifi, I'm the one who doesn't, i only have a wired connection, and right now only have access to a wifi adapter that supposedly attaches to the usb port of my pc/laptop and makes my wired internet conection wireless...

What i wanna know is if this adapter, one with the specs I posted, will do the trick for the wii... like the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector does...

I'm pretty sure you need to use a Wii specific adaptor. You couldn't just plug in any adaptor. I could be totally wrong though, so anyone with any light to shed on this subject, please do cause it's rather dark around here.

you can use any usb WIFI adapter IF you can put it into AP mode. Not all adapters can do this. Best to check the documentation or website of the manufacturer.
