Playing ISO burnt games in modded wii

Hi, please excuse my ignorance on this subject and be patient. I have read a lot in these forums and have learnt some answers but do not have a total grasp of this yet.

I have a hard modded wii with a sunkey chip installed. I have downloaded and iso for F1 and it works fine after using iso patch (dropped into it and gained number) then used wiiscrubber to patch it.

I have then d/l Jurassic The Hunted USA Wii-BiOSHOCK and extracted the iso and patched it same as F1. I then burnt it on a DVD-R with imageburn on 2X. I placed it inot the wii console and it displayed the title but then went black and would not allow me to turn off the wii without unplugging it.

I looked at the guide 'Extracting IOS Needed To Run Game' by shadowsonic2 but it uses wadmanager. Can anyone show me, tell me where to find a guide similar that will get this disc to work using a hard mod wii using discs and not SD or HDD. Thanks.

Been reading for days and starting to get a bit blurred about it all now.

    yeah its very very easy.

Step1. Look for a newly released unscrubbed game.
    Step2. Do a disc update.
Come to the Irc room to get help or just have fun

Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him, now you have a motivated idiot.

A Scrubbed Game meaning a game that hasn't been editted. Just an untouched iso. Look for a game that is 4+ GB when its zipped. Also your modchip may have an update blocker preventing you from doing an update, What modchip do you have?

Also disc updates are simple, when you insert a disc, it will prompt you to update.

Okay thanks shadowsonic. I download the iso from a usernet and it was 4.3 gb when unzipped and I checked the rar files with sfv and it said they were okay. I have a sunkey solderless modded wii.

Inert a disc and it asks you to update....do you have to be connected to the internet with your wii for this to happen?.

This is a lot more confusing then what I originally thought?.

I am really just looking for a ABC if burning and patching game iso's so that they work on a modded wii (hardwired mod - sunkey) so I can play them........thanks

    1. All single layer wii games are 4.3 GB when unzipped. Check its size when zipped Make sure it is atleast 4 GB

    2. No internet needed to do a disc update. The update is on the disc.

    3. When you get the full iso (4+ GB when zipped), do not patch it using any tools on pc) Then Burn it and insert it and you'll get prompt for an update.

Also make sure that it is a newer release such as Wii Sports Resort or New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Also make sure the disc is for your region.

Okay, so if I got this right, I just download a file that is unzipped and at least 4GB in size and then just burn it and it should play?. the files I get are usually rar and I just extract using 7zip.

The only thing is I actually did that with the first game and it would not lay so I then 'patched it' and it played?.

I will try that as the jurrasic the hunted is 4gb and I will extract it again and just burn it and see if it 'updates' and plays....would that be what you are saying....btw thatnks for being patient.

I've been saying this for a while and i'm going to say it one more time. You need to download a zipped or rarred iso that is 4+ GB When zipped or rarred. Samething. All Wii ISOs are 4.37 GB. The game should be a game that contains a newer update such as Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

By patching, I mean using tools on the iso such as wiiscrubber, brickblocker etc. Just download the iso, unzip it and burn it as it is.

Shadowsonic, thanks for explaining, but the rar files I get only come with the game iso and no wiscrubber or other tools when I unpack them?. What do I do if they don't have those items?.

    Thanks
