    3.1-4.1 update

    Hi,
I had a 3.2 wii with Hombrew installed. Today I did the soft mod update and wnet to 4.1 and priiloader I have a couple minor issues I can't turn off my Wii using the remote now and when I turn it on it doesn't got to the system menu even though I set it to autoboot to the sytem menu also the Shopping Channel and the Photo Channel both just go to black screen.
Any ideas on what I might have missed?
I did accomplish one thing I can now play Band Hero. I will check out everything else tomorrow.

If you have just installed Priiloader, there is a setting for load IOS for System menu. You can set it to use the default, or choose, make sure if you have cosen one its the right one for you.

In addition, the channel issues are probably due to a missing IOS-you need IOS61: http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-dow...installer.html.

The Wiimote issue hasn't been reported for awhile-used to be related to never sync'ing the Wiimotes before installing preloader. Make sure to re-sync the Wiimotes from the sysmenu screen.

    Us 3.2 to 4.1

It is set to system IOS on.
The other thing I noticed is if I use the wiimote to turn it off the power light goes to yellow instead of red and the screen does appear to go off this may be a 4.1 difference from 3.2

The problems may be due to priiloader. Uninstall it and see if all is OK.
Also do you have a nand backup, when you are happy that it works do a backup. Then start to debug.

    3.2 -4.1

I don't have a nand backup, not sure how to do it. I tried along time ago but don't have theinstructions any more.
I do have the Shop and Phot channels working now thanks to gen3sf.
It seems OK now I'd like to make a backup of it the way it is.

    Download the bootmii here,
    http://bootmii.org/get.php?file=hack...19b2870048c42c

The HackMii installer comes as one main executable; in addition to installing BootMii into
your NAND (either inside boot2 or as IOS254), it will create several files on your SD card:

    /bootmii
    /bootmii/armboot.bin - Starlet-resident code (MINI) -- this loads ppcboot.elf
/bootmii/ppcboot.elf - BootMii shell - this is the GUI that is displayed
    when BootMii runs.
/bootmii/bootmii.ini - BootMii shell configuration file. See below
/install.log - installation log. After you install BootMii,
please email the contents of this file to
beta_logs@bootmii.org so we can track any issues that emerge.

It will check your system and install bootmii as boot2 the prefered, or on newer machines as IOS.
Hackmii 0.6 is the latest, no need to update the HBC just yet, wait until you have a nand backup.

When completed, you will have two files, one nand.bin 540MB and keys.bin 1k.

WiiJohn, this is the only thing I found on my SD card, looks like a log file. Is there a secondary method?

    1. Your yellow light is because you have WiiConnect24 on standby-turn it OFF

    2. You must always inform a normal softmod thread/forum that your Wii has cIOSCORP installed. cIOSCORP replaces almost all the core IOSes of your Wii, a normal softmod make very few changes-leaving the Wii largely intact. One reason for doing the softmod to completion prior to installing cIOSCORP is that some of the softmod apps cannot be easily updated/changed/installed with cIOSCORP having done all that gutting and replacement.

Hackmii/bootmii specifically changed their programming to lock out cIOSCORP after a lot of their problems with cIOSCORP. To fix your original softmod, probably better to uninstall cIOSCORP, make sure everything works as you want, and then if you still want to install cIOSCORP-make sure you read ALL of the readme file and their FAQ before you commit to cIOSCORP again.

So-Shop/Photo channels working after you installed IOS61. Yellow power light-WiiConnect24 -turn it OFF. Priiloader-sysmenu problem-uninstall cIOSCORP-if problem remains-make sure IOS60patched is installed, re-install your system menu:
If your Wii is 4.1U (US):SystemMenu-NTSCU-v449.rar
If your Wii is 4.1E (European):SystemMenu-PAL-v450.rar

Download the correct 4.1sysmenu for your Wii, extract the wad with WinRar, copy the wad file to your SD card. Use Wad Mgr to install. Reinstalling sysmenu will have overwritten priiloader-reinstall priiloader. Now check to see if the hacks and menu settings work. They usually do on this repeat cycle.

Now-before you reinstall cIOSCORP again-read all their material. Never make changes or follow the guides for normal softmods-a cIOSCORP Wii is not the same.
