Update from 3.2e to Waninkoko 4.1 is it safe?

    Hey all,

VERY new to the modding scene, so please excuse any silly questions.

I have a 3.2e Softmodded wii. All's fine except I've just bought a retail Beatles Rockband and it doesn't work....

After doing some research I believe this is due to the fact I'm only running 3.2e.

    My question is,

I done a good hours worth of googlebrowsing and seen that ppl are using Waninkoko to upgrade to 4.1

Some are upgrading to 4.0 first and then 4.1
And some are getting their wii's bricked in the process!

Can anyone give this noob a basic and easy guide to get my wii up to 4.1?

    Hope ya'll can help

    Cheers

I'm trying to run bootmii prior to trying this update in case of a brick.

The problem I'm getting is that when I run it via homebrew the screen goes blank and the drive flashes. How do I fix this?

Is it massively important that I run bootmii??

    Also,

I'm looking to download a file, 'cIOS249r14' as per Tealcs Guide. Anyone know where to find it??

    Help would be much apprieciated!!!:-)

How do I get bootmii to work?
When I run it through Homebrew, the drive just flashes blue and the controller and screen go blank :-(

    1. INSTALL BOOTMII AND THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL

a). Put all the files from ‘copy to sd card.rar’ onto the root of the SD Card. It should look like this when done.

b). Insert the SD card into Wii.

c). Go to Wii Options, then go to Data Management > Channels > SD Card, then you will get a message saying "Load boot.elf?" , select 'Yes' and the Hackmii installer will run.

d). Install Bootmii as boot2 if you can, if not then install it as an IOS then go back and install the Homebrew Channel.

now come on man your asking questions that clearly show in the guide on what to do.

read the guide i posted to you 25 times, if you still have questions read it again.

i will help you as much as i can, but if its in the guide i wont help as i don`t need to.
