    Is it possible to stream video from my PC to Wii???

    On my 360 I can have a video file on my PC and stream it to my xbox360 in the other room to watch on tv. I want to be able to do the same thing with my wii in the family room and I thought I had read somewhere that it was possible.

    Is it possible? If so how do I go about doing it? I have homebrew channel and browser. Wii is softmoded via bannerbomb.

    Just looked into Orb and it looks like it does just what I'm looking for. What have you heard that is so bad about it? Bad video streaming quality? Has anyone else used it and can say what their experience has been?

    As for mplayer....isn't there an mplayer download from the homebrew browser? Is that all I would need?

    I'll test out both options today. Thanks for the help!

    get mplayer from browser, tho you will need to manually edit SD:\apps\mplayer\smb.conf with notepad for example and write these stuff:

    (remove # from here!)Samba share1 (smb1:/)
    ip1=192.168.2.10<- your internal pc ip
    share1=music <- name of the shared folder
    user1=a <-username and password if needed. let whatever here, it wont accept blanks
    pass1=b

    then you go to mplayer-open-file-smb-smb share 1 and you can browse your folder

    everytime i try this i'm getting an "ERROR Reloading SMB1" message. I removed the number sign before the Samba share1 line. I put in my IP address.
    share1=Public Videos
    is how i have the third line set up.
    at first i tried putting a password and username in but i removed it on the second try and still got the same problem. any idea what i'm doing wrong?

    also, i tried Orb. It seems to work ok but is a pain in the neck to do. You have to open Opera and type in the web address then log in and find your video. Would be fine if it was my only option but I'm looking for something more easily accessible.

    try

    "Public Videos"

    the "" are needed for names with spaces. also on vista you need to see the settings for shared docs
