    Question Major screw up

ok everything was going perfect had homebrew installed with gx loader playing backups through hdd, and come to one game my 4 yr old daughter had to have, barbie :0. and it would say game loading and thats it, so i read where cios3.2 would install fixes. well thats where everything went wrong, i installed that got no vulnerable ios, i had homebrew on it, and done some sort of update and homebrew was upside down, i updated to 4.1u again thinking it would erase all cios, but didn't. homebrew accidently deleted from browser menu, and did not install patch 60, so cant hold reset when power on to get preinstal menu. now when ever i try to install anything in sd auto bricks on me the second it detects it. now is there any chance to save 4.1 or do i update to 4.2, and does 4.2 support hdd, what what i read it doesn't unless a hack just come out for it. any info please

wow, i really don't understand what you installed. just seems like a bunch of randomness with no real aim to it at all. someone here may know what to do as we have some very good folks here but i would try to word yourself a little more clearly as it would be easier to help you.

put original boot.dol on sd card and goto sd card icon and hopefully should boot bannerbomb, to reinstall homebrew. When your wii crashes on access to sd card it maybe two files blocking each other... maybe with same name... check it on a computer.

I'll start by backing up Oddgriffin that your paragraph is a bit cluttered to read through. Think I got what you were trying to say though. I've made some adjustments to reflect what I think you meant. Here it is broken down:

    - had homebrew installed with gx loader playing backups through hdd
    - barbie would say game loading and thats it
Odds are all you needed at this point was an updated ios: Not a new cIOS, and definitely not cIOSCorp. For future reference, check This Thread when you have a game that won't run.

    - i read where cIOSCorp 3.2 would install fixes.
cIOSCorp makes a very large amount of changes to the system. The changes it made when you installed it conflicted with the modifications that were already present on your Wii. Don't install any program in the future without knowing what needs to be fixed and what effect it will have.

    - i installed that got no vulnerable ios
    - done update and homebrew was upside down
    - i updated to 4.1u again thinking it would erase all cios, but didn't
    - homebrew accidently deleted from browser menu
    - did not install patch 60
    - cant hold reset when power on to get preloader
As mentioned earlier, run through the 4.1 thread step by step. The guide will show you how to get a vulnerable ios back on your system, as well as the homebrew channel. Read everything before you attempt it, so you don't miss anything. There is a link to the guide in my signature below.

    - now when ever i try to install anything in sd auto bricks on me
What size and brand is your sd card? If after you format it, and replace the files on it with those from the guide, you're still experiencing freezing issues, then you may need to try a different one.

    - do i update to 4.2, and does 4.2 support hdd
With regards to game loading, 4.2 is capable of running everything that previous firmwares can. The process to modify it is just different. Updating now will install stub ios' that you would need to remove later to get homebrew working again. Don't update, try the 4.1 guide first.

thanks for all the help, i went ahead and did a system format and followed the 4.1 quide, then got things working again. I also formatted my sd card instead of just deleting things off it and found that over 200 + blocks were bad, could have some part in bad data maybe, but after reading more of cIOSCorp, i'll never use it again. haven't got hacks installed took hours just to get main system up with homebrew. from here on should be easy. Thanks again for everything....
