Black Wii, 4.1e firmware, D3-2 board

    Hi there to you all.
This is not for me, but for a work mate.
Recently he bought a Black Wii (not nowing about the dreaded D3-2).
He has installed HBC + Neo Gamma 8, now he's getting the disc read errors.
He hasn't got enough cash together yet to buy a external hard drive, but what he as asked me was ' Could you connect a External DVD rom unit, and will this play back ups on'? - Is this at all possible, or has he got to ask santa for hard drive?
    Thanks in advance

lol never heard of that idea before, tell him to try it and see. in the meantime i would suggest using a flash drive or even an sd card to play games from.
