Confirmation of Wii HDD - Which brand to get.

I've read that Western Digital is the best brand to get, is this still the way to go? I don't feel like plomping down $80 for a wrong HDD, so sorry for another topic!

Also, do dual layered backups work fine on Wii HDD?

This is the HDD I was thinking about getting.

Thank you, I just wanted a confirmation. Also, what are the best brands of DVD-Rs? I heard VERBATIM are the best to use for the Wii.

i dont think the brand matters as long as its dvd-r and not +.
I used Sony and Maxell Dvd-R and they both work no problems.

Brand does matter in some cases. Its good to use high quality brands such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden, these last the longest without issues.

ive used both toshiba and lg drive's both seem to work fine 320gb any bigger and ya seem to run into problems. to be honest 320 is more than big enough you can over 150 games as iso's and alot more as cios

last the longest? i never saw a Dvd that does not last long. I mean i burned Dvd games, movies(few different brands) like more than 6 years ago and they still work as before. I think thats a long enough time. I mean if u dont take care of em, throw them and scrach em, sure they wont work but to me most of em are the same and work well even for wii.
