    Wii Fit with Burned Game

Hey, I have successfully modded my Wii, loaded cIOSCORP, etc. My wife wants to get the Wii Fit, and I was wondering if it would work to just buy the board without the game on eBay, then d/l & use a burned copy of the game (and other games that use the balance board).

Has anyone tried this for the original Wii Fit? Do you know what .wads I would need to have installed for it to run? (I know IOS33-64-v1040, but would I just install that and then put the burned game in and go, or are there any other steps?) Thanks in advance for any help/advice anyone can give.

OK, thanks, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything - I know it installs a channel, do I need a separate .wad for that, or will a burned game install it automatically?

What are you taking about "installs as a channel"? IOSs do not install as channels.

i think that he meant the the game installs a wii fit channel for stats and stuff like that... not like a forwarder channel.. i was on another post actually i think you were to "s0ur" about the mario cart channel that the guy was trying to find the wad to install it...

im just going with dont install the extra channels its a waste of NAND space

Thank for the help, emuhack, and yeah, that's what I meant - I don't care about the channel, but I think my wife might want it - should I d/l it and install it as a .wad if I want it, or will a burned copy of the game do that for me? Sorry if I'm being a p.i.t.a., I just want to make sure I'm making this noob-proof for her.

when i tried to install channels through the games (raving rabbids) when it said installing it reset my WII and then there was about 130 blocks of mem taken up and no channel... but it did show up in the data managment screen so

so i dont you can have the channels with the copied games unless someone figures out how to get a WAD from the disc????

You can rip the discs and use WiiScrubber to extract wads from the ISO. Only way to do this though is either using a special drive for your computer [and LG drive] Using WiFi [this is the slllloooooowwwweeeeessssst thing possible] or using a USB HDD and a USB Loader, then taking the ISO off the HDD to your computer.

Thanks again for the help, guys. A google search brought me to this: .wad file so I think I'll try that first when I get everything together. I'll try to post the results!
