    Thumbs up I am a virgin, but want to learn

    Hi folks, I have said my hello's and had a readround the forum, andeven tried search,so hands up andappoligiesfor anythingI have been a muppet over,so here goes.

    I bought a
    Wii that is already chipped
    1 TB WD hard drive
    8 GB USB Stick

    Questions are

    Without opening the Wii up how do I find out what chip is installed

    How do i set up hard drive to run Games Movies and Music etc

    Do I need to us both Hard drive and USB stick

    The Wii is not connected to any network, how do I install any necessary updates,


    Once again appoligies for the muppet questions, but in my defence, i amasking in the noobs section, so please be gentleasI am a virgin.

    How are you loading your backups, from disk channel or from usb? It is hard to tell what chip is in it, simplest way is to ask the guy who put it there. Don't ever update from nintendo or from a disk, you may not like the results.

    If you want to play games and movies from the hd you will need to follow one of the two guides listed below, depending on your wii's system menu version.

    thank you for the reply, I was given some games on disc, that is how i am playing back ups at the moment.

    i will read guides you recommend.
