    usb loader gx black screen

    Hi,
this is my very first post and i'm pretty new to the wii so i apologise in advance. I've tried searching but can't quite get the right answer.
I have a new wii black console running 4.1e with a leh500 serial number.
I managed to install hbc and neo gamma. My first problem came from not being able to play dvd-r's which i have now put down to possibly having the d3-2 chip (haven't cracked it open to look but i think it's a fair assumption) so i decided to go down the usb loader route.
followed a guide from usb loader gx. everything went fine and iended up with a usb loader channel.
Now comes the problem of that channel won't load. It does one of two things depending on where i load it from. If i load it from the channel it'll have a splash screen that will dissappear after about 20 seconds. Then it reboots back to the wii menu. if i load it from hbc with the sd card in then it'll come up with the black screen then just stay on a black screen.
I used WBFS manager 3.0 to get my hdd ready (which is a WD 500gb) but can't get past the black screens.
    Sorry for the long post.
    hope someone can help.
when I installed usb loader gx i also installed cIOS36rev10 and cIOS38rev14)
hope i've give enough information. if not please say and i'll try my best
    Thanks in advance
Just found as well that Neo gamma has turned to a black screen when i try to load it. which it's started doing since i've installed usb loader.
i'm not having any problems playing the original games
again, massive thanks to anyone that can help

Well first of all you installing cIOS38r10 then installing cIOS38r14 was fruitless. As soon as you installed cIOS38r14 it just overwrote your r10 installation. Secondly it seems like your cIOS was not properly installed.

Really? i thought it was different because the first was cIOS36r10 then cIOS38r14. i feel like an idiot for doing that. so you reckon if i reinstall cIOS38r14 then it should be ok?

thanks for your reply, i got the usb loader off of a link in dogeggs tutorial. i didn't follow his tutorial to mod my wii though. If i'm honest i followed a tutorial off of afterdawn but after having a quick flick through dogeggs tutorial now they're pretty much the same

Go here: Downloads (USB Loader GX) and get the newest version, see how you fare.

i know that you said that you followed the afterdawn tutorial... i would go through and read the dogeggs (link in my sig) tutorial and remod to a degree with that tutorial and you should have no problem running games
