Us Need help restoring my Wii

    Hi,

I am experiencing an peculiar problem with my wii. I had it modded by someone and Im not really sure what they did. It plays pirated games and has a couple of channels such as HBC, Gecko OS, and Neogamma 7 & 8.

I was trying to reset my wii because I have no access to the network page. I want to access the internet in order to play the games that allow for network play and NDS connect.

So I tried going along with the writeup on here to virginize my wii but unfortunately the downgrader and loader requires internet connection. So that really pissed me off. I hate that the person who modded my wii did this in order to keep me going back to him for updates that cost $50 bucks per shot every few months or so and I think that is not fair considering that all the info and drivers are here on this site.
Since I dont have internet nor games that could update my wii and return me to original firmware. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I would really appreciate it.
If there is a write up please guide me there as well so that I dont have to ask such stupid questions.

    Thanks in advance.

I have read online and figured that my Wii is semi-bricked when I go to settings page. It loads a page that has the line: marc:FIX/US/ENG/index01.html

How to fix this? please guide me to where I need to go. All the forums on google lead to a fix that requires Big Brain Academy and that is not possible where Im at unless I buy a pirated copy which is what Im trying to avoid anyways, and I doubt that would help. Please let me know if you have an answer Thanx.

Update using New Super Mario Bros Wii retail disc to bring your Wii to 4.1. Providing you are on less than 4.1 right now this will fix the semi-brick.

You can also fix it by installing System IOS and System menu for your region.

Do you know what your System Menu is at the moment?
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

that guy has a pretty good scam going on there. keeping the wii bricked so you have no way to know what anything is on the wii. just keep bringing the wii over every time and pay more money lol

Yea for sure its a scam. Today was the first time I actually read up on Wii modding. I've paid twice for this and it really pissed me off I had him update my wii 2 months ago so i could play Mario Tenis, and now I want to play the new super mario but hey guess what? I need update neogamma, and god know what else.

I tried downloading NUSD and doing that part but I never got the App that the write up talks about.

According to neogamma I am on version 4.18 or 4.0E something like that but not sure what that means. How do I install a system IOS or system menu?

Also, I cannot obtain original games here in Asia. So even if I purchase the NSM it would be a burned copy.

In doing further reading I figured out my wii is "Semi-Bricked" so now I seek the disc images that would ideally be found here: Semi-brick fix discs for all three regions (updated) does anyone know where I can find that?

Seriously couldnt have done it without you guys and the help on this site. I owe you a lot and would much rather donate what I would have spent on getting this fixed and will do so.

I gotta admit though its 8 am now here in Singapore and for being a newbie. I must say this was easier than I thought. For sure having the right guidance helped.

    Thanks again everyone!
