HBC Update, and app downloading ?

Sorry if this is already posted somewhere, I haven't seen it.
I have the Wii fully softmodded, working beautifully with emulators and backups. I was wondering if it's ok to update the HBC from 1.05 to 1.06, I thought somewhere it said not to. Also, how do I download app's with HBC? I can't find a way to do it lol. I looked online but haven't found anything other than the fact that you can do it.

You want to get something called HomeBrew Browser: Homebrew Browser - WiiBrew

And yes you can update to 1.0.6, it's fine.

i think the update caution has to do with cioscorp users, turning HBC upside down. hopefully this doesn't apply to you.

Even if that was the case, one would only have to re-install HBC [the 1.0.3] and all would be normal. The caution was in the guide as it could impede on certain things [and yes some cIOSCORP users have reported some probelms with HBC].

As taken from Dogeggs guide: If you are connected to the Internet the Homebrew Channel will ask to update - say no until you have completed this guide, then the choice is yours...
