In slight defense of the noobie

Just wanted to clear up some things if possible. Although there is a wealth of information out there, in here and in the tutorial section...and there are a wealth of just plain stupid question on here that I know get annoying to the moderators and others, There is one constant snag that I think gets alot of intelligent questions askers confused or maybe a little unsure of themselves.

There are so many variables that makes us unsure..
for instance, one gudie for GH5 may be for firmware 3.2 and neo gamma, but the person may have 4.2 and usb loader gx.
and so on and so on...
so many people with so many combos of hacks, firmwares, loaders, chips or no chips....that is why so many repeats of question.

But then the people that dont even try to look for the answer..you just suck!lol

yea i know it is tough. when i first attempted a softmod i made certain that the guide came from a forum where ppl were asking questions and getting answers about problems that they were having in relation to that guide. some ppl watch a youtube video and go to a site that hasn't been maintained in months with no contact info. then come here and be extremely vague about the problem and expect us to guess what they did to mod their system. and alot of times you can see a question being answered and after only a few threads later the same question is being posted.

In defense to us Senior Members who get annoyed at all the same questions over and over. Yes it's true that some guides call for one system menu and not the one your on. But I ask this, if it's not for your system menu, why would you even attempt it? The guides on this site are pretty specific to which "system menu" you must be on to do what. So it's not our fault here that someone found a guide somewhere else before doing all the research [trust me I was one of those fools not a few months ago]. All it takes is a little extra effort on the users side, and a good amount of confusion would be left in the dust. I mean watch these forums, you will see the same questions asked over and over and over......you get the idea.

Also, there almost seems to be a majority of new users who don't do any research and ask for help immediately, often asking questions that have been answered time and time again.

(Yes it's true that some guides call for one system menu and not the one your on. But I ask this, if it's not for your system menu, why would you even attempt it? )

Hence the questions getting repeated sometimes by those that have actually searched the forum.

Im not complaining at all and I do understand that the moderators deal with ALOT of STUPID questions that have been answered over and over.Ive read many STUPID questions in searching the forum for answers and just wanted to say why the hell are you even messing with modding.
But I guess what Im saying is for example.. I see 100 questions about GH5 getting to work...
Most of the answers to the 100 questions refer you to the guide for GH5. but the reason alot of people are asking the question in the first place is because they searched, found the guide in tutorials, saw that it was for a different firmware than they have, decided NOT to try it and just make a new post asking the same question so that they could get it to work for THEIR version.Only to get referred back to the GH5 tutorial.

Just sometimes seems like a vicious cycle from both sides of the coin, lol
